Woodburners

The Homewood Stove takes its name from Homewood Bay in the Pelorus Sounds, where David William Foote, with his wife Laura and their eight children, ran a sheep farm and large guesthouse in the early 1900's.

Homewood is also the name of the farm of David K. Foote (grandson of David W. Foote) and his wife Penelope. It was here at Kara in Northland, NZ, that the Homewood Stove was designed and developed over a number of years.
