Family Pizza Time!

Spring is here – the blossom is looking beautiful (although the heavy wind over the weekend has blown a lot of it away), the lemon trees are laden again and the hens are laying. So we decided this week to make a Lemon Meringue Pie and some more Marmalade, Almond Biscuits, a Cinnamon Loaf and some Dark Sour Rye Bread. It was a very busy Friday afternoon, but Penny and I still managed to find some time to put our feet up and enjoy a bit of our baking for afternoon tea!

Penny and I decided to make pizzas for the family this week, and to please the crowd we made four different types (smoked salmon, smoked chicken, hawaiian and a chicken and pumpkin pizza) with two different pizza bases – a thinner herb-filled pizza base and a more bread-like thicker pizza base.

The pizza proved to be a hit, and the meringue was devoured almost as fast!

We made:
Lemon Meringue Pie
Almond Biscuits
Cinnamon Loaf
Dark Sour Rye Bread and…
Four different Pizzas!
